Brief Introduction |
Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE),
which was founded in 1905, is the largest non-profit academic
organization of automotive engineering in the world. They are mainly
working at the industries in material and manufacturing of auto,
heavy truck, commercial vehicle, airplane and engine. The standards
SAE constituted have been authoritatively considered, widely applied
in the fields of automotive industry or else and partially accepted
to be the national ones. So far, SAE international boasts more than
84,000 members who come from 97 nations. They update or correct more
than 600 standards files regarding to automotive, aeroplane and
aerospace engineering annually.
According to the regions, there
are 91 SAE branches all over the world. 57 branches located in
America and Canada. Brazil has 10 and the other 24 ones are in many
other countries. Until now, there are more than 80,000 SAE members
from 97 countries, which are composed by engineers, scientists,
entrepreneurs, teachers and students. |
